This brand is my favourite and I went there to look for a dress at the beginning of Autumn in last year. Most shop assistants are female who look like in their 20's. The staff who served me listened to my issues and request well and gave me some advice. The shop isn't big but it has a lovely atmosphere that perfectly fits the expression of adult-girlie as the positions of mannequins and the item layout are well-thought. The small items such as hats and shoes are displayed to catch our eyes naturally and I often take those items as I can't help looking at them despite no intention of purchase. I can enjoy by just going in the shop. I was looking for an Autumn dress to wear with my long boots and asked for the staff's advice. Because my height is shorter than 150cm, it's difficult to choose the right length. She showed me various coordination ideas based on the features on each item while the dresses in ordinary size were too big but the tunic type wasn't reasonably adapted. Although there wasn't what I liked and I didn't buy anything after all, I'd like to go again for her coordination advice as she kindly tried to help me..
I often buy clothes from this brand and also look at the small items such as accessories, shawls and hats. Although I think that buying at a shop physically is advantage as we can get advice from the staff, they aren't really kind for this point at this shop because it's too busy. My impression is that they are relatively modest to talk to customers and it might be suitable to people who don't want to be disturbed while shopping. The shop is very small and there are not so many items accordingly, as the items are placed with enough space between each others to make easier to choose. I often check online and picked some items before going to see the actual items, but they often don't have those. Actually the necklace that I wanted to look at wasn't there. Same thing happened when I went to check the shawls and hats. I could, of course, order them but I can't see any difference from buying online if I do it. Although there is no issue about the staff's service, It's a shop that I wouldn't like actively buying, because of its poor item availability.
I bought a logo T-shirt and a dolman cardigan for mum at ROPE PICNIC Tenjin Underground Shopping Street. I knew this brand from its ads but it was the first time for me to go in. Although I thought that the clothes were for young people such as from teens to in their 20's, there were some items in simple designs and the wide range of age group could wear, as there were many various items and some were in loose silhouette. There were actually various generations in the shop including some mature customers up to their 50's and it was busy for a weekday. I could shop comfortably as the staff didn't come to us for the sales talk in vain. The staff kindly answered to my questions when I asked. The price range was quite reasonable and it became my favourite shop. I pop in every time when the season changes.
Purchased a dress from ROPE PICNIC. It had the original price tag of about 6,000yen but was reduced to about 4,000yen. I was looking at it when I walked by and thought 'What a nice dress', and the dress was in the section marked as sale items. The material seemed to require dry cleaning but it's a chic dress that can be worn at a party as it has embroideries on Green fabric. I'll have many occasions to go out as it's Summer, and I bought it for going out. It'll be a waste to keep it within the wardrobe and I'm thinking whether I should wear it on ordinary days. ROPE PICNIC KEIHAN MALL shop has often the limited hour sale in the late afternoon. It's not on daily and you'd better to go to look to enjoy after checking with the shop if they have a sale. It's handy as the shop is directly connected to Kyobashi station on Keihan Line.
Bought a floral midi length skirt, a gingham check dress, a White blouse and a top in polka dots pattern. I often go to Chofu PARCO when I feel that I want to go shopping as I'll get tired at places like Shinjuku or Shibuya where there are many people. It's very close from Chofu station on Keio line and I always pop in ROPE PICNIC at first when I go to PARCO as it's at an eye catching place on the ground floor. Its displays are always cute and I always check the items that are reduced. It's my favourite shop as the staff is polite and it's easy to shop. I'm going to buy a lucky bag next year.
It's a little walk from Shinjuku station. The shop is standing out as it's in the middle of Shinjuku Subnade. ROPE PICNIC's yellow looks pretty. The mannequins are facing the direction that people are walking from and it's very eye catching. Because of this, the clothes on the mannequins are frequently changed. It's easy to find the clothes that the mannequins are wearing as they are placed beside the mannequins. They normally have sale items and you might able to find bargain items from unexpected place? It's also nice that the till is in the middle of the shop, as it's easy to go in.
I bought a coverall in denim and a belt. Because I hadn't met any clothes that inspired me this Summer, I looked at it twice (lol) when I found that item. The staff's service was very polite and I thought her fashion sense was fantastic more than anything else. I could shop to my satisfaction as she chose a belt that perfectly suited the clothes, for an accent colour. The shop is around the middle part on 2nd floor tenant shop street. I think it's easy to find as the shop is at the corner of the block.
I went shopping to the bargain sale at Kokura COLET Izutsuya over 2 days of 12th and 13th July 2015. As a start with, I went between 10am-12pm and 4-5pm on 12th. I could look around at my own pace in the morning as there weren't so many people. However, it was getting busier towards lunch time and I couldn't look as much as I wanted. The shops I went were ROPE PICNIC (ladies' clothing), IL BISONTE, as well as MUJI and LOFT for small goods. The shops for ladies' clothes were offering big discount but small goods or high brands' items were hardly reduced. Because of that, those shops for ladies' clothes were busiest and most lively. I went round mainly men's floor between 3-5om on Sunday, 13th but there weren't many people and it was quiet compare to the floor for ladies' clothing shops. Because 13th was the final day of the bargain sale, Medium size and popular items were being sold out in ladies' clothing shops.
When I'm passing by, I see that this shop, ROPE PICNIC is always crowded with ladies between in their 20's and 40's as there are many office ladies' style clothes that are plain but neat. Although I didn't pass by on purpose, I happened to pop in yesterday as there were some pretty clothes I liked on display. I think it's easy to go in because of the warm feeling of lighting and the shop assistants' cheerful voice for informing the sale. They come to talk to me when I'm with friends but I like the shop as they hardly talk to customers when there are many customers during weekends.
I bought a Navy lace pencil skirt. I wanted clothes of refreshing look for the beginning of Spring to Summer. And I decided to buy it straight away. I like it as it's very comfortable with elasticated waist band. The shop was very busy due to weekend. They issued numbered tickets for the fitting rooms. There was nothing much I could do and I was just waiting. However, a customer made a lot of comment each time she tried clothes on, and asked her acquaintance to bring other clothes, then repeatedly tried them on. Because there were so many people waiting for the fitting rooms, I wanted the shop assistants to warn her or do something.
