I bought two t-shirts made with mixed linen, and a denim like long one piece. It was located inside the fashion building PIVOT by the Ohdori station on sixth floor, and it was a very popular store. The store carried various items compared to other GU stores. The item I bought were popular, and they were lacking some sizes and colors, but they quickly dealt with me when I asked them to bring different sizes and colors in the fitting room. As for the items lacking on the stock, they even gave me advice that it would be faster to wait for a new stock to come than relocate the item from the other location, and althought store associates looked busy, but they were kindly served me.
It's my favourite shop! There are items that are sold at fairly reasonable price and last long! They are cheaper if you go for their sale! I often go there as I want to save money but want to look fashionable at the same time. GU occupies the whole floor and it's helpful to buy men's wear as we don't have to walk around much. The shop assistants are cheerful and serve us with smiles. Many overseas tourists shop there.
I often buy pairs of skinny jeans. They are comfortable. I feel they go tatty faster due to the price but I don't mind. You'll get change from 2,000yen so very reasonable. I want to go there again and again.
I went to GU in PIVOT for the first time and I was so surprised at the mega size.
It was very big and there were many items piling up to the ceiling, surprised again. Although the shop was big, it was so crowded due to Bank Holiday time. The customers' age range was young, I guess.
I wanted many T-shirts for work and bought 6 shirts. They were less than 1,000yen each. They had many varieties of designs to choose from and I chose plain shirts with logos or printed shirts. There were also many bags and shoes for being a mega store. I happened to buy a pair of plain slip on shoes.
This GU is quite large and it can't be compared to my hometown's GU! It's too large to look at all items. Every item is low-price so we can buy anything without hesitation. Recently Rola became a poster girl so I came to like GU more. I feel there are many foreign customers, too. It's so cheap that they may do shopping during their trip in Japan, I think.
