I went to the sale at the ladies' section in Nihonbashi Takashimaya at the end of July 2015. Because it was just after lunch time, the store that normally had a chic atmosphere was overall lively with wide range of generations from elderly to families with kids. Particularly there are many female customers who was shopping alone as the items such as sunshade parasols, Summer gloves and hats that were essential for this season were sold at very reasonable price at the ladies' section on the ground floor. I went to buy handkerchiefs for both daily use and a gift. The handkerchief section also has a famous brands sale and the sale items were tidily placed on the mobile shelves. Although the items at handkerchief sale were normally left messy after customers took items once then returned them to the shelves, the staff regularly tidied them up in this store and I could choose comfortably. The staff was also impressed as she asked the person's age for the gift and helped me to choose the handkerchief in very polite manner despite it was busy. I was impressed that the long-established department store wouldn't forget customer care even during the sale period.
The standard building has up to 8th floor but the luxurious atmosphere is next to none. What surprised me was that they have 2 BURBERRY shops in there. BLACK LABEL and the original BURBERRY. You might better buy BURBERRY items now as their designs will be changing from next summer onwards. The staff in BLACK LABEL shop was very kind and experienced.
The leather on FURLA bag got damaged when I was using it.
Although I didn't buy it from that shop I went go to a FURLA shop in Nihonbashi Takashimaya near my work to ask how I could repair. The staff looked at it very closely and gave me some advice. I didn't buy anything but she was very kind
